BRIEF
Create two randomised digital games on the subject of famous Arabic Sea and Land explorers.
APPROACH
As the client suggested that they wanted the game to be randomised. I decided to fashion de interactive like a steam-punk wheel of fortune. Each traveller had a bespoke special animation that would play once they had been selected.
I created the overall design for this game as well as the assets and animating of the illustrations.
The initial design allowed the user to spin the first wheel to select the quote and then they had to match the second wheel to the quote. However the client thought that the gaming part was unnecessary and were happy to have a more randomised experience.
The game was thoroughly tested by the target audience and features were implemented in response to evaluation results.
RESULTS
During final testing, the younger audience enjoyed discovering the different explorers and were excited to see the payoff animations for each result.
